About Dr. Deevi
A career built across five institutions and two countries
Dr. Mohana Sasank Deevi is an alumnus of ASRAM, Eluru, and completed his Masters in Surgical
Disciplines at Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada (Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, 2014).
He went on to pursue his superspeciality in Neurosurgery at SVIMS, Tirupati, followed by a two-year
FNB course in Neuroendovascular Surgery at SNVI, New Delhi.
He was recruited under Andhra Pradesh's state merit medical services as Assistant Professor in the
Department of Neurosurgery, Kurnool Medical College (KMC) — where he became the first to
perform, and continue, neuroendovascular surgical procedures in that department. His work there
earned him multiple commendation certificates from AP-DME, and led to his promotion to Associate
Professor in the same department.
He further trained at the Department of Neurosurgery and Neuroendovascular Surgery, Aichi Medical
University, Nagakute, Japan, under the guidance of world-renowned neurosurgeon
Prof. Shigeru Miyachi. He has since performed more than 10,000 successful surgeries
and is credited with several national and international publications and presentations.
He currently practices as Consultant Neurosurgeon at KIMS-Sunshine Hospitals, Begumpet, and
sees patients at his own clinic, Dr. Mohana’s Neurocare – Brain & Spine Clinic,
in Sainikpuri, Secunderabad. He believes strongly in the doctor–patient relationship, and is
committed to strengthening specialist medical care at the periphery through closer
hospital–doctor–patient collaboration — with a long-term vision of building a
multispeciality health centre aligned with the goals of India's Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
